Windows 98, American edition, no shortcut key; neither does select all
(CTRL+A) have any key bindings, which is frustrating. Consider using an
alternative editor. Notepad is very light, which is good if you want the
quick launch time, low memory consumption as well as fitting it into a
single-CD Windows installer.
If you program for the Web rather than retain TODO lists in an editor, you
are punishing yourself when you use Notepad. Wordpad likewise with its
desire to save your file in proprietary formats by default. The latter will
not only disallow you to 'dance' between platforms, but will also impose
problems when it comes to indexing. The arguments will be similar to "why
HTML E-mail is evil".
