 You must be using a 3rd party launcher with the 'auto refresh file' 
option turned off. You must then find the refresh files menu option and 
refresh the launchers database. This is the only thing it could be as 
the default launcher auto refreshes always.

And ignore the Filez suggestion from Roy as the savedprefs have nothing 
to do with which icons get displayed by the launcher.
