I was going to make a sarcastic comment myself, but held back, at least
until somebody else made a true suggestion, without fuckwit involved. (no
implication whatsoever intended *smile*)

I think the problem is that certain molecules could have hardened inside the
laptop. This will fade away in due course, provided that you give it a
'good home'.

To clean up a keyboard, you probably want to hold it upside down (hard to do
with a laptop) so that you can give it a rub with damp substances. If the
case is badly worn out, you might as well try to find another case of the
same model, which is completely dysfunctional (eBay maybe). You can also
grab the other keyboard in the process.
