It's worse when people include characters that include reserved delimiters.
For example, I will never be able to get rid of
/Weblog/archives/2005/07/20/palm-digitizer-problems/%3Cbr%20/%3E
/Weblog/archives/2005/07/20/palm-digitizer-problems/<br%20/>
/Projects/MATLAB/"
in my error logs. I get constant reminders of their existence. I spent too
much effort already trying to work out ways around it. If I can
significantly reduce the scale of my 404's, I can have manageable reports
sent by E-mail and get informed of my mistakes immediately.
I'm slowly getting there though...
