If you seek some good wallpapers, why not make use of gnome-look.org and
kde-look.org? They have a stunning and diverse collections, all of which are
contributed for free by the users community. As a matter of fact, in recent
versions of KDE, all one needs to do is go to the wallpaper menu, then click
"add/get new wallpaper" (something to that effect). Then, thumbnails are
fetched over the Web and the user can select the full-sized wallpaper that
suits her/him. No need to browser the Net as all is transparent at
application level.
