MSFT is down about 20% in a little over a month. Clearly there is a
serious lack of confidence in MS. Anymore bad news from Redmond and
the stock will dive.
They are committed to releasing vista next January even though they
haven't even decided what features it will include yet. To take
advantage of the few new features it does have over XP will require
buying new HW.
No doubt OEM's will be 'pressurised' to install vista on new PC's. For
MS's sake it had better be a more stable and more secure OS than any
of its predecessors or it will bomb. Past history doesn't favour MS
being able to do so.
