As I've said (elsewhere) I did a clean install of Kubuntu, & it went
effortlessly. It's a good distro, IMHO.

As regards hardware compatibility, it was interesting to note that the
openSuSE wiki now carries a link to Novell's Hardware Compatibility List,
& also Novell's SuSE Linux Certified Hardware. I suppose it can be used as
rough guide for other linux distros hardware compatibility too, though I
guess YMMV.
