What a freaking, dumb as crap, moron.
If it was running Linux, the laptop could have been returned the
next day for not working.

But in all seriousness, you have to assume the computer was at fault,
and Windows had nothing to do with it.  And since you have less then
5% of the desktop market, the odds of a machine exploding is next to
nill.
Well, until the laptops, under $100, come out, and are used in homes,
of
poor countries, where power surges accur.  And you have to go even
further.

You have to assume, that since it was windows, there was a lot of
stuff,
WORKING, and installed.  IN LINUX, they never would have a driver, or
had time to tweak.
