Just as a Point of Information:
The Dell XPS 700 Higher Performance Gaming Special Edition Formula Red
starts at $3,064. Intel Core 2 Duo E6300, Gen-yoo-ine WinXP Media
Center 2005 Edition (Windows Vista Capable), dual 512MB nVidia GeForce
7900 GTX, 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM @ 667 MHz (2 1G DIMMs),
320 GB Serial ATA, 20 inch ultrasharp flat panel, some other stuff.
If one wants a $4000 computer one can replace that Intel with an Intel
Core 2 Extreme X6800 to boost the price $1,000 to $4,064.
Obviously Dell thinks someone will pay good money for that. :-)
I'll admit to some curiosity as to its frame rate for Nexuiz,
UT2004, and other such FPS. :-)
