I understand the 1st and the 3rd, but why mention "muting offensive language"? Is DRM known to enforce the non-muting of offensive language?


As a side effect, yes.

So far, no DRM enabled players have implemented a way of automatically muting offensive language. If you want such language muted in a DRM'd broadcast/file, you're out of luck.

On a non-DRM'd version of the broadcast/file, you can play it on anything you want, and mute/skip anything you like.
