There are many examples of things people did tirelessly or paid plenty for
before they became a commodity that's taken for granted. Software is one of
these things. When was the last time you paid for a database in your Web site?
How much did your server software cost you? Have you saved enough money for
your next software upgrade (or 'upgrade', in the case of forced ones)?
