Why would Windows-based games require a reboot? I mean, they don't modify the
kernel. What seems strange sometimes is the association of reboot with some
kind of needed refreshment. Memory leaks, if any, can be fought by
restarting the desktop environment and KDE, for example, restores the
session (which it gets saved)..
