Simple.  Roy has no idea what a monopoly is.

Most music that you can buy from iTunes you can also buy in download 
form from Zune Marketplace, Walmart, Rhapsody, and others.  And of 
course you can buy it on CD.

And music that you download from iTunes can be easily converted to the 
international standard form for digital music: the audio CD.  That can 
be used with pretty much every computer and every portable player.
