Re: [Roy Schestowitz Lies Again] [Linux] Man Tries Mandriva on Laptop, Reviews It, Loves It (was: [News] [Linux] Man Tries Mandriva on Laptop, Reviews It, Loves It)

Roy Schestowitz came up with this when s/he headbutted the keyboard a moment
ago in comp.os.linux.advocacy:

I've tried ubuntu on this laptop (Latitude C840). Didn't like it for various
reasons, not least the poor hardware support for this particular
configuration. Knoppix/Debian was perfect but for the fact that I'd've had
to configure every bit of hardware to my liking; the software/package
management was a breeze on it tho, which is a huge plus. I settled on SuSE
for the simple reason that everything (and I mean everything) worked out of
the box, nothing really needed configuring except the geforce graphics and
the WEP key for my home wireless, and from blank drive to functional
desktop with all updates and fully configured application base took less
than an hour. Dreamy.
