Looks like Mono is still far short of complete.
Microsoft wanted corporate customers to buy applications written in C#
instead
of Java with the intention of making sure that these applications
would only
support Windows desktops.  Mono was just "smoke and mirrors" to be
able
to claim that C# was "multiplatform".

Ironically, Michael Icaza provides better support for Mono than
Microsoft
provides for C#.  It seems that C# isn't as "strategic" as it once
was,
when Microsoft had lost the ability to ship PCs with crippled Java
1.1.
