I can't understand why "Microsoft" is still a top brand name here in the UK,
but there's a lot of brainwash and a lot of relationships with Microsoft at
the government departments.
Microsoft has some decent products and it probably includes Office, which is a
case against standards though. They also make good peripherals. Other than
that, products are very mediocre when you come to consider Microsoft's budget.
I have come to believe that Microsoft's problem has to do with its corrupt ways
(image). which enabled the company to attract a lot of people with passion for
money, but not a lot of people with passion for computing. It is therefore
unsurprising that Microsoft recruits heavily in Asia (or /from/ Asia)
nowadays.
