You nerds can do all the shootouts you want until the cows come home. If you
want to convince yourself that some linux tablet is "better" than the iPhone
then knock yourself out.
The fact is that it is the *CONSUMER* who determines what is better. And
consumers vote with their pocket-book. Because some cheesy video claims the
Nokia is "better" doesn't matter one bit. To consumers the clear winner in
this and the "better" and more desirable unit is clearly the iPhone.
And spare me the tired old car analogy where 'More people buy Fords than
BMW's so are Fords better' or anything lame like that. Because you need to
compare apples-to-apples meaning you need to compare items of comparable
price. The fact here is that the N800 actually costs LESS than the iPhone
but most consumers would rather pay more for an iPhone than buy a N800.
Nothing against the N800 - it looks like a nifty unit. But it will get its
ass kicked by the iPhone out in the market the same way that the iPod is
crushing all of these supposedly "superior" MP3 players.
