They ought to be careful. In the past week Microsoft got the boot (or almost
got there) in two continents. I can't understand why the Big Press hasn't
quite caught up with the news... it's mainly in Spanish and German. In any
event, any move that can be perceived as anticompetitive and aggressive (the
above certainly applies) would only harm the company's already-tarnished image
further.
People are still studying just what happened there with OOXML. You know, the
bullying, bribery, political agreements, secret agreements...
