The strategy has not been so profitable for Microsoft. It's still just
going after the 'small fish' for symbolic deals. Apple too is very
unsuccessful in this regard as HTC and Samsung won't pay up. Apple
appears to have just gotten rid of its main patent extortionist recently.
When was the last time Microsoft extorted a /large/ company? Yes,
it figures. It had Novell, Amazon, and HTC. Novell is gone now.
