The tax-exempt Gates Foundation sometimes steps alongside Microsoft Corp. to help
in countries which step "out of line" by using GNU/Linux in schools.

The investment arm (mostly in patents) Gates Foundation spends about $1 million
/per day/ on PR alone. They call it "advocacy" (another name for reputation
laundering and perception management, for Gates and his clients/investments).
