In the taller towers I heard the fuel leaked down the stairs, still burning, and
people would run away with their skin coming off. Not a pretty sight but a sign
of the melting -- not explosion -- coming into play. I learned this in a fair
debate at Democracy Now. People tend to forget just how much fuel (energy) there
is inside a massive jet. It's not the diluted fuel one has in a car. This one helps
fly 100 tons in the air.
