I think that, in order to get better help, you ought to put some more effort
in. The first mistake made was the choice of Google Groups, which perhaps
unfairly has this stereotype of accommodating hit-and-run posters. See for
example < http://blinkynet.net/comp/uip5.html>. People are generally
prejudiced, so Google's gateway will get less attention, if at all be
visible. Secondly, this group may not be the best place to inquire about
technical problems. comp.os.linux.misc would be a better choice. Lastly,
apart from typos, your original posts contradicts itself in places, e.g. "is
says connected, but i can get on the internet."
The good step forward would be to provide more elaborate explanation/details
about your distribution, network card, as well as precisely what you tried.
