I don't see any problem with that. The innovator might have started it, 
but how unique was the idea? Ideas come rarely from one person, look in 
history, when communication was less fast, often similar or even the same 
idea popped up in several places.

Also, the blogging software of today has grown. I never understand that 
people like Tim Berners-Lee, who just came up with HTML + browser are 
suddenly considered the person who invented what we now call the Internet.

To me it's like saying that the guy and girl who invented sex is 
responsible for the current world population and all its problems :-D
