It depends on personal perception, but I prefer to visit and cite Web sites
that are non-profit-making (at least on the shallow face of it). I would
have gone for .info.

Be warned, however, as many spam sites use this "info"rmative disguise to
embed spam. Thus, filter criteria for spam do not favour the suffix. Again,
it's very subjective. If .net is available, go for it.
