Also try "Computer" on your Desktop. When I connected my mass storage device
to the USB port for the first time (SuSE 9.3), that's where it immediately
appeared. That aside, it might be in your best of interests to upgrade SuSE.
It's free after all. You are still on kernel version 2.4 (circa 2002-3),
which if I recall correctly, leaves you with manual work for mounting of
some devices.
