| to Python in five years.

Even Microsoft can no longer ignore the power of Python, which is largely
used by some of the world's largest companies, Google included.

Eclipse director: Open source development bests proprietary

,----[ Quote ]
| In this exclusive interview, Milinkovich explains how his organization
| was able to effectively deploy 10 projects simultaneously to Eclipse
| developers while proprietary vendors struggled to even get their code out

It is no surprise that Microsoft attempts to infiltrate Open Source
conferences where it does not belong, in order to woe developers it
constantly loses.

| Most PHP developers use a Windows desktop to develop their code, but then
| turn to Linux when it comes time to deploy their apps. It's a situation
| that Microsoft is hoping to change.

|
| Though Microsoft is a sponsor of the php|works conference, Stagner noted
| for the record that Microsoft did not pay for him to speak and he wasn't

| LinuxChix Brazil Meeting - Webcast, teachers and sponsors

| [...]
|
| To make all this possible, we this year have the support of several
| companies and people, and two major sponsors: Caixa Economica Federal and
| Microsoft. The Caixa, as a Brazil federal institution, has always been
| involved in supporting development projects. And to go ahead with its
| "let's talk" movement, Microsoft supports the Meeting, as well will also
| be open to talk about their recent actions to cooperate and interoperate
| with Open Source community. We invite all attendees to debate with the
| representants their ideas and give suggestions.

I have come across more examples where Microsoft distributed freebies to
Linux developers. Microsoft has degraded to the point where it's akin to a
80-year-old pervert who uses his wallet to sleep with teenagers.
