Not at all. Applications are put together using Open Source scripting
languages, then put on some very resilient servers. The computers can then
be used, assuming permanent connection, to access a distributed environment
where backup is automated and patching is done remotely. It's better than
the concept of Ulteo Linux. Owing to standard, while working offline, you
could either use native applications such as OpenOffice, or even make use of
the new features of Firefox 3.0, which include off-line work on Web-based
software (Zimbra is among the first to take advantage, I suspect).
