Until Linux (hopefully) becomes a power in the desktop, this really
does not mean much, sorry to say.
It's a different story in mobiles though, where Java is helping Linux
become a viable OS for Motorola. Who needs Symbian, Palm, or Microsoft,
when most of the apps run on Linux anyways? The success story of Linux
on mobiles seem to be eclipsed by its continued struggles on the
desktop.
